Tudor Tots: L is for Light

Explore how people of the past were able see at night before electricity.

Dec 03, 2025. 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

As the sun sets earlier and more lights are turned on, how did people of the past see in the dark? Early learners aged 18 months to 4 years old and their caregivers will learn about candles, mirrors, windows and when Tudor Place installed electricity. This program will be taught through group story time, songs, museum artifacts and a hands-on art project.
